Arca has released a best-of compilation distilling her five-album series, Kick.
Out today, December 9th, via XL, the LP spans 21 tracks and five bonus cuts, three of which are unreleased: "Alto Voltaje," "Ritual" and "Sentient Savior." Arca's fans voted on the final tracklist via her mutants1000000 channel on Discord.
The other two bonus tracks—"Cayó" and "El Alma Que Te Trajo"—feature production credits from Tim Hecker and Safety Trance, AKA Cardopusher, respectively.
The Kick series dates back to June 2020, when Kick i was released. The remaining four LPs landed in a flurry at the end of 2021.
In other Arca news this year, she remixed Beverly Glenn-Copeland and Laurie Anderson, received her second Latin GRAMMY Award nomination and launched a digital webstore, among other projects.
