Berlin festival Strom has revealed the lineup for next year's second edition.
Taking place on February 3rd and 4th at the iconic Philharmonie Berlin concert hall, the festival will feature DJ sets from the likes of Marcel Dettmann, Juan Atkins, Nídia, upsammy and curator Stefan Goldmann.
On a live tip, there will be performances from Blawan, Hauschka & Kai Angermann, Wolfgang Voigt presents GAS and Robert Henke presents CBM 8032. transformed acoustix, a collaboration between members of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra and Karlheinz Stockhausen's son Simon, have also been confirmed.
"Strom combines the unique architecture of the Philharmonie Berlin with performances by international artists whose work is based on repetitive electronic music, but which also extends far beyond the boundaries of functional club use," said Goldmann. "What they have in common is that they've expanded the form and impact of their genres or completely reshaped them, and that they've built bridges to other art forms and opened up new cultural or technological horizons."
He added: "Strom doesn't offer crossover formats between electronic and classical music, but presents highly individualistic performances."
