  • Pioneer DJ has launched a new two-channel controller aimed at beginners. Available now, the DDJ-FLX4 is a simpler version of the four-channel DDJ-FLX6, which landed in November 2020. It includes rekordbox and Serato compatibility, integration with streaming services like Spotify, SoundCloud and Beatport, and the ability to connect devices such as PC, Mac, iPhone or Android. Smart Mixing, a new feature designed for those new to the craft, is split into Smart Fader—which automatically adjusts the volume, bass volume and BPM of the music to enable smooth transitions—and Smart CFX, which applies a combination of effects at the twist of a knob. The DDJ-FLX4 also includes a USB audio output for microphones, eight back-lit pads for triggering hot cues, pad FX and a sampler, and a built in sound card. The controller is currently retailing at $299. Watch a video, and find out more via the Pioneer DJ website.
