  • Eris Drew and Octo Octa are road-testing their new custom-built rig, LUV NRG Soundsystem, in the US next month. Both sharing the same post on Instagram, the DJ duo will host three shows on the East Coast. They'll play extended back-to-backs at each event. The tour begins at Basilica in Hudson, New York, on Thursday, November 3rd. A collaboration with The Bunker New York, the event will also feature sets from resident Bryan Kasenic and Community Rave Network's SVB and Scotia. On Thursday, November 10th, Eris Drew and Octo Octa will link up with local promoters Flower Factory and Hast du Feuer in Washington, DC. The venue and full lineup are still TBA. The tour will round off two days later at Garage B At The Speedway in Boston with the Boudoir collective. In their Instagram posts, Eris Drew and Octo Octa described the sound system as the "ultimate alchemical object." Comprising four speaker stacks, each more than eight feet five inches tall, the rig was assembled by Craig "Shorty" Bernabeu of New York-based sound system company SBS Slammer. Previous clients include Nowadays, the Liberty Theater and Stereo Montreal. "The basic plan is to bring the type of sound which changed my life in the '90s to as many damn cities in the USA as we can," said Eris Drew and Octo Octa. Read the full post.
