  • Berghain's agency Ostgut Booking is closing down. Sources confirmed the news to Resident Advisor earlier today. Eight people will be made redundant when the agency shuts at the end of 2022. It's unclear what will happen to the 28 acts on the roster. Ostgut Booking, which represents Ben Klock, Steffi, Marcel Dettmann and more, launched 15 years ago. Five artists—Sedef Adasï, Naty Seres, JakoJako, Fadi Mohem and Lakuti—joined earlier this year. The agency is the latest arm of the Berghain operation to close following the label, Ostgut Ton, in December. For 16 years, the outlet was a dominant force in dance music, beloved for its mix series and dozens of EPs, albums and compilations. Its final release was the 16th anniversary compilation, Fünfzehn + 1. Photo: Simon Tartarotti Correction, October 6th: A previous version of this article said the agency launched in 2005. It was actually 15 years ago.
