  • The Avalanches have cancelled a slew of upcoming shows in North America, citing health issues. The duo, consisting of Robbie Chater and Tony Di Blasi, announced the news via Twitter over the weekend. They were scheduled to play in Chicago, Toronto, Montreal, New York and Philadelphia, among other cities, over the course of October. "Unfortunately due to serious illness, we have had to make the heartbreaking decision to cancel our remaining US and Canadian shows to return home," their statement read. It's not yet clear whether one member, or both, are unwell. Earlier this year, the pair confirmed they were experiencing "ongoing personal health issues," forcing them to postpone this North American tour from February and March to this autumn. Last year, the group revealed a reissue of their seminal 2000 album, Since I Left You. That followed their 2020 LP, We Will Always Love You. Read the Twitter post in full.
