IKEA and Swedish House Mafia will release a home studio furniture line in October.
In June, the collaborative collection was announced with details of a new record player due for release in autumn. Now the furniture company and electronic music trio have revealed the full details of the collection, called OBEGRÄNSAD.
Shipping globally from next month, the 20-product line includes the LP player, a desk, wall and floor lamps, laptop, tablet, speaker and record stands, armchairs, rugs, bedroom slippers and clocks fashioned in the shape of the group's stage sets. A redesign of IKEA's classic FRAKTA bag is also available, as well as a remodelled KALLAX shelving unit with extra space for amplifiers. The entire set comes in all black.
"Since we were kids, we have valued the IKEA approach of making things affordable and available for a lot of people," Swedish House Mafia said. "We used to find a creative way to make IKEA furniture to accommodate our teenage lives as creatives, so the collaboration’s purpose was formed around our own personal journey in life."
