  • Ash Luk and Lida P. are retiring their collaborative alias, Minimal Violence, they announced via Instagram on Thursday. Known for their blistering live sets combining industrial, techno, breakbeat and hardcore, the pair began their ascent in Vancouver's underground scene before breaking out into the global circuit. Their 2019 debut album on Technicolour, InDreams, earned the former duo critical acclaim. "Minimal Violence started in late 2014 as a collaboration between Ash Luk and Lida P.," the post reads. "In April of 2021, Lida stepped back from the project due to personal and health reasons, allowing Ash to continue to produce and perform as MV under a mutual agreement of set conditions. Due to irresolvable conflict in our personal relationship and disputes regarding the rights to the name we have decided to both take space and retire the name Minimal Violence." Luk will continue to produce and perform under his new alias, Infinity Division. Luk will debut the project later this month at the Berlin club ÆDEN for the party series, Atlantiaa.
