  • Berlin-based DJ duo The Ghost have sold their mobile record van after seven years. In a post on Instagram yesterday, August 18th, James Creed and Josh Tweek said the 1975 Mercedes 407d had gone to a "lovely couple who plan to travel around Europe." Between 2015 and 2022, the van was a haven for vinyl nerds, stocking mostly second-hand house, techno, UK garage and more. "It might seem sad but we're honestly quite relieved," said The Ghost. "We were too busy to put the time and love into the shop like we used to. We opened a handful of times in the last year—a waste of a vintage bus and thousands of tunes that could be getting spun." Around 2017, The Ghost's touring schedule shot up—the duo have 40-plus gigs listed on RA so far in 2022. "We would like to say a public goodbye and express our love and gratitude to the amazing vehicle that helped bring us to where we are today," they said.
