  • The Brooklyn Public Library in New York has added records to its catalogue. The institution's main branch at Grand Army Plaza is now home to 400 records spanning house music, disco, hip-hop and pop, as well as new listening stations with turntables. Selections include Park Hye Jin's Before I Die, Arthur Russell's The World of Arthur Russell and Depeche Mode's Speak and Spell. Cardholders can borrow up to three records at a time for a period of three weeks. Referring to the program as a "pilot project" on its website, the library said it hopes to add more records to its collection in the future. Starting in September, the library is also hosting a six-week DJ and production workshop for teens in partnership with Building Beats, a non-profit that Resident Advisor collaborated with earlier this year.
