  • O'Flynn and Frazer Ray (FKA Soundbwoy Killah) are releasing a collaborative album on Ninja Tune's sub-label Technicolour. Arriving October 21st, Shimmer spans 12 tracks of UK rave flavours, from speed garage and breaks to hardcore. The two artists, who say the LP is a homage to UK nightclubs, connected online after O'Flynn unknowingly bought a record produced by Ray as Soundbwoy Killah. "I was digging for samples one day at [London shop] Sounds Of The Universe and the store suddenly played this big breaksy dance tune with a Reese bass," O'Flynn said. "I bought the record there and then and started to play it in my sets. One of my friends heard me play it once and said 'you know I used to live with this guy'—I couldn't believe it because I imagined whoever made that record would have been about 50-years-old and living through the rave era." On October 28th, O'Flynn and Ray will launch the album at East London venue EartH with their debut live performance. Find out more in the event listing below. Both artists have previously released solo full-lengths. O'Flynn's Aletheia landed in 2019, as did Soundbwoy Killah's Halcyon Daze. More recently, Ray has released three EPs under his given name.
