  • Pioneering electronic act Leftfield, now led by Neil Barnes, is releasing a new album in 2022. Arriving December 2nd on Virgin Records, This Is What We Do features collaborations with Fontaines D.C. frontman Grian Chatten and longtime Leftfield collaborator and poet Lemn Sissay. The 11-track LP spans multiple styles, from progressive house to breakbeat, techno and more. Written in the wake of Barnes's recovery from a cancer diagnosis, the new album is Leftfield's first full-length since 2015's Alternative Light Source. It's also the first we've heard from the project since the 2017 remaster of iconic debut LP, Leftism. Leftfield's other founding member, Paul Daley, left in 2010. Watch the video for "Pulse."
