  • Chicago radio program Abstract Science is celebrating 25 years of broadcasting (and 1225 episodes) with a day-long takeover of WLUW-Chicago 88.7 FM. The marathon kicks off on Thursday, August 18th at 8 AM with special guests Luke Vibert and Chrissy joining Abstract Science residents Chris Widman, Henry Self, Luke Stokes, Joshua P. Ferguson and Bill Beardean (AKA Whoa-B). More guests will be announced in the coming weeks. Since 1997, Abstract Science has shined a light on the evolution and influence of DJ culture, dance music and experimental electronic sounds with weekly broadcasts every Thursday night from 8 to 10 PM CST, as well as a weekly podcast and archives at abstractscience.net. Past guests include Actress, Amon Tobin, Bonobo, Daedelus, Four Tet, Juan Atkins and more.
