18 events throughout September will feature the likes of Mina & Bryte, Optimo, SUCHI and DJ Nobu.
London club Village Underground is celebrating its 15th birthday in September.
VU15 is a series of 18 midweek gigs and weekend club shows that will take place between September 1st and 27th at the Shoreditch venue.
Highlights include SUCHI, who will be joined on the bill by Two Shell, Cashu, Amaliah and a special TBA guest from Naafi on September 3rd; Mina & Bryte, who will play live on September 9th; DJ Nobu, who will headline a 20 Years of Future Terror party on September 16th; Optimo, who will be joined by Paranoid London, DEBONAIR and Jaye Ward on September 17th; and salute presents on September 23rd.
"The one good thing about the pandemic is that it forced us to slow down and spend some time thinking about what Village Underground had achieved by then–the good and the bad–and what needed to change," managing director Amelie Snyers said. "A lot of these changes are reflected in the VU15 programme. It also offers clues to what is coming next: more diverse and engaged programmes, making the most of our independent status, working with all sorts of interesting, fun, new promoters, collectives and artists and finding ways to support each other as we all slowly recover from Covid-19."
