- Starting July 1st, the artist will teach hip-hop production and music as a community-building tool.
Maya Shipman, AKA Suzi Analogue, has been named a music professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-Chapel Hill).
The US institution—the country's first public university—announced the news today, June 27th. As a faculty member, Shipman will focus on hip-hop production as well as broader topics such as music in diplomacy and outreach.
The Never Normal Records founder worked with UNC-Chapel Hill earlier this year as a guest artist on a workshop about experimental beatmaking. She starts her new position on July 1st.
