Brooklyn Record Exchange opens second New York store

  • New York vinyl store Brooklyn Record Exchange is expanding. The three year-old shop, which is partnered with local label Mexican Summer, is opening a second location in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The new spot is in the same building as Mexican Summer's office and recording studio, Gary's Electric. Operating hours are Wednesday through Sunday, from 12 PM to 8 PM. New and used music, books, merch and movies will be available as well as an array of releases from Mexican Summer and Anthology, the label's reissue arm. A launch party is scheduled for Friday, June 24th, with sets by local DJs Lauren Murada, Alyssa Stowers and Timo Lee. Brooklyn Record Exchange's original shop is located in Bushwick, Brooklyn.
