  • Lucrecia Dalt will release her eighth solo album, ¡Ay!, on October 14th via RVNG Intl. The Berlin-based producer intertwines bolero, mambo, merengue, salsa, synthesizers and science fiction across ten tracks. Guest appearances include Alex Lázaro on percussion, Angelina Allemano on trumpet, Nick Dunston on double bass and clarinet, and Edith Steyer on flute. The record marks the first time Dalt has sung in Spanish since her 2013 album, Syzygy. The first single, "No Tiempo," explores "a sense of weightlessness," Dalt said in a press statement. "This was the first track where I thought about how I could bring together these two disparate things: bolero and science fiction." ¡Ay! is Dalt's first solo album since 2020's No Era Sólida. It follows her recent score for HBO's horror-comedy show The Baby. For more on her atmospheric style, revisit our feature from 2018. Watch the video for "No Tiempo."
