UK funky pioneer Roska has a new album on the way.
Out August 9th, Peace is Roska's fourth LP and the third on his Roska Kicks & Snares label. Its 12 tracks include guest spots for Serocee, Flowdan, Aleisha Lee, Dread MC, Jammz and long-time collaborator Jamie George. A collaboration with drum & bass MC GQ, which was originally released last November, also features.
"The concept of the album is just to showcase the style of Roska in LP format," Roska told Resident Advisor. "I generally put out quite a few singles and EPs over the course of a year but I really wanted to let this piece of work sit in its own space. The name Peace came from embracing my style more as the years go on."
Speaking about the album's collaborators, he added: "They are artists I'm fans of and appreciate as people beyond music. It's an honour to have legends like Flowdan and Sweetie Irie. Also to have artists who don't generally work on this tempo like Jammz and Emz."
