Otik is starting his own label, Solar Body.
The first release, an EP called Psyops by the London-based producer and DJ himself, arrives digitally on June 22nd. Touching on jungle, footwork, ambient techno and breaks, it is the first of four records that Otik plans to release over the next six months.
"With Solar Body, I aim to connect the dots between meditative, ethereal atmospheres and club music," he told RA. He said he established the platform "as a way to get as much of my own music as possible out into the world." For now, Solar Body will act as a home for Otik's own productions but "it may evolve into something more further down the line," he continued.
Last year, Otik released his Soulo EP via Martyn's 3024 imprint, as well as the 12-inch Trifecta on Club Qu.
