  • Levon Vincent is releasing his fourth album next month. Out June 10th via his Novel Sound label, Silent Cities is the Berlin-based artist's first full-length since 2019. It sees him veer away from the dance floor, with 11 tracks touching on ambient, Krautrock, shoegaze, hip-hop and electro. "I was expanding further along the lines of a surprise favourite from my previous LP, a song called "She Likes To Wave To Passing Boats," which was not a four-on-the-floor piece to play in clubs but a more impressionistic piece of music that I wrote to expound some emotions one day," he said. "It was a song written using just intonation. I really love how warm the pure fourths sound, so when working on Silent Cities I decided to use my own tunings." The new LP is Vincent's first time experimenting with the cassette format, though it will also be available digitally. His last album, World Order Music, was followed by a slew of EPs in 2020 and 2021, including Cosmic Enchantment and his most recent, CYCLOPS TRX. Listen to "Sunset."
