Eileen Chan, AKA Cats On Crack, was Singapore’s leading purveyor of dungeon techno. It's a fitting genre since both the venues she cofounded—Headquarters and Tuff Club—featured caged DJ booths. Chan recently died at the age of 32 but her taste for dark, glossy synth lines will long influence younger Singaporeans who learnt the ropes of raving at her clubs.
