  • Arp is releasing his first album since 2018. Out July 15th via Mexican Summer, New Pleasures builds on the aesthetic of his last album, ZEBRA, with 11 tracks of Balearic, industrial pop, dub and experimental. Accompanying the title track is a video directed by Adinah Dancyger. To make the album, Arp used an array of vintage hardware such as the Prophet 5 synth and the Oberheim DMX drum machine. "Sometimes the most alien thing is simply seeing what we take for granted from a slightly different angle," he said. New Pleasures is the second installment in the ZEBRA trilogy, which began with the album of the same name, released via Mexican Summer in 2018. Watch the video for "New Pleasures."
