  • Ron Trent has announced a collaboration-heavy album under his WARM alias. Out on June 17th via London label Night Time Stories, What Do The Stars Say To You is Trent's first LP since Raw Footage in 2011. It's also his first as WARM, a project with only one 12-inch in 2019. Trent said the new album is "designed for harmonising with spirit, urban life and nature." He added: "With WARM, through sound design, I built frameworks for the musicians, who furnished and occupied these structures beautifully, which was a big compliment for me." The collaborators include decorated jazz violinist Jean-Luc Ponty, Gaussian Curve member Gigi Masin, popular three-piece band Khruangbin and Azymuth members Alex Malheriros and drummer Ivan Conti. Trent played drums, percussion, keys, synths, piano, guitar and electronics on the LP, which was mastered by François K. (François K also mixed a continuous version of the album that features five bonus tracks.) Listen to "Flos Potentia (Sugar, Cotton, Tabacco)."
