Apple Music has announced the launch of DJ mixes in Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos.
The collection begins with a fresh One Mix from Detroit techno pioneer Jeff Mills. Titled "Outer To Inner Atmosphere: The Escape Velocity Mix," the hour-long session officially relaunches Apple Music's One Mix series, which is meant to showcase top producers and DJs from around the world.
Speaking on the mix, Mills said it was "designed to stimulate the listeners' three dimensional senses and sensations using the subject and idea of breaking Earth's gravitational pull and leaving the planet."
Additionally, the new collection includes 15 Boiler Room sets from India Jordan, Ash Lauryn, HAAi, Lady Shaka and more. New sessions mixed in Spatial Audio will be added monthly including more Boiler Room sessions.
The series is Apple Music's latest effort to highlight dance music and support DJs following last year's announcement of a new initiative to compensate producers for tracks included in mixes.
