  • Cosey Fanni Tutti has written a 300-page book about the connections between herself, Delia Derbyshire and 15th-century Christian mystic Margery Kempe. The story of Re-sisters: The Lives and Recordings of Delia Derbyshire, Margery Kempe & Cosey Fanni Tutti dates back to 2018, when Tutti was commissioned to soundtrack a film about electronic pioneer Derbyshire. Around the same time, she began reading about Kempe, who wrote what is widely considered to be first autobiography in the English language. Tutti's book explores how these three women pushed back against societal and cultural norms. It's "the story of three women consumed by their passion for life, a trinity of the sacred and profane, sinners and saints," said the Throbbing Gristle cofounder. Out via Faber & Faber on August 16th, Re-sisters is Tutti's second book following her 2017 autobiography, Art Sex Music.
