Queer collective MARICAS, based in Barcelona, have announced the second release on their namesake label.
MARICAS Compilation Vol 1 is a digital-only compilation that spans techno, house and acid, among other club genres. Arriving April 21st, it features all-queer producers from across the globe. They include Shanti Celeste, Riva, D. Tiffany, MARICAS cofounder ISAbella and Or:la. Described by the label as "Sunday service at the Church of MARICAS," the album will donate part of proceeds to queer associations in Ukraine and Latin America
This marks the first compilation for MARICAS Records, which was founded in 2020. Its inaugural release was the Audio Exotica EP by ISAbella. The collective MARICAS was born in 2018 as a party focused on electronic music and queer culture but has since evolved into an online platform and DJ unit.
