Mykki Blanco has a new song out with Michael Stipe.
Produced by FaltyDL with a cameo by the R.E.M. frontman, "Family Ties" arrives courtesy of UK label Transgressive Records. The track, dedicated to Blanco's ex-boyfriend, marks "the first song in my entire career where I am singing, I don't rap," Blanco said in a press statement.
On Instagram, the artist described how working with Stipe was "a once-in-a-lifetime moment." Blanco and FaltyDL, AKA Drew Lustman, previously collaborated last year, with the latter producing Blanco's Broken Hearts & Beauty Sleep EP.
