Optimo (Espacio) and Ransom Note launch UK festival, Watching Trees

- Celebrating 25 years of the DJ duo, the event is scheduled for September in England's Forest of Dean and Wye Valley.
- Optimo (Espacio) and dance music magazine Ransom Note are starting a festival in England. The first edition of Watching Trees will run from September 2nd through 4th "in the backwoods of The Forest of Dean," according to the website. There will be 500 attendees, two stages and a TBA lineup. The festival is partly celebrating 25 years of Optimo (Espacio). "We seek to replicate the original energy and fun of the early Optimo parties," reads text on the website, "the feeling of the first time we danced outdoors in woodlands and open fields and enjoyed the freedom of getting to know the person next to us." The festival's name is possibly a reference to Eleven Pond's new wave classic "Watching Trees" from 1986. Find out more about the event here. Before the festival, Optimo (Espacio) will kick off their anniversary celebrations with a party at Glasgow's Queens Park Recreation Grounds on Saturday, April 30th.
