  • Amp is a newly launched mobile app by Amazon for aspiring radio hosts. Users can play music in real time, curate playlists, plan talk segments and schedule programming on the free platform. It includes access to a library of licensed songs from Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group and Beggars Group, among others. Hosts can also take live callers, controlling who speaks and when. Amp eventually plans to add more functions such as integration with Amazon's voice service, Alexa. Amp will also feature shows by established artists such as Pusha T and Tinashe in addition to writers from music publication The FADER. For now, Amp is only available to Amazon users in beta form, with limited public access. An official launch is expected later this year. Watch a short video about the app.
