Dan Ghenacia is launching a new label called AWEED, which stands for "Alpha Wave Experience, Electronica and Dub."
Created with a team of engineers, the Alpha Wave Experience is the Parisian's bespoke sound and light machine, which gives the participant a hallucinatory and meditative experience. AWEED will launch with the release of Ghenacia's own D EP. Spanning three tracks, it's due out on March 18th.
"In this new label, I will release many dance tracks as I did with my other labels Freak N' Chic and Apollonia," Ghenacia said. "But as this year was focused on introspection and reflection due to Covid-19, the releases will also include non-dance and ambient music. The latter genre has been extremely important in exploring new horizons which led to creating music and sounds with Tolga Fidan for projects such as the Alpha Wave Experience and sound design to accompany visual artists."
