  • Kala Festival in Albania has announced the lineup for its third edition. Taking place in the beach resort of Dhërmi from June 8th through 15th, Kala returns after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic. Many of the artists originally booked in 2020 remain on the bill, including live acts such as Jocelyn Brown, 808 State, London Afrobeat Collective and Gigi Masin. On a DJ tip, there are slots for the likes of Pender Street Steppers, Maurice Fulton, Shanti Celeste & Peach and Lena Willikens, who will go back-to-back with Vladimir Ivkovic all night long. New artists for 2022 include Jessy Lanza, Paramida, Lakuti, Parris and Shy One, while a handful of DJs—DJ Harvey, Avalon Emerson, Young Marco and Palms Trax—are down for five-hour sets. Check out the full 2022 lineup, and revisit our photo feature from 2019.
