Manchester collective Shifting Spheres are heading to Bristol for their first DJ workshop of 2022.
From 6 PM through 10 PM on Friday, February 25th, DJ Roo and Sadsugar of Bristol radio station Longthrow will host a beginner DJ workshop at Lakota. Priority will be given to "WOC, QTIPOC, LGBTQ+ or low income/unemployed individuals."
According to the application form, the workshop will "teach the basics of beat-matching and track selection on both CDJs and Technics." Also, it will give beginners a chance to "increase your confidence in a low-pressure environment." Little to no previous experience is needed.
Shifting Spheres is a DJ collective, label, event series and workshop programme aimed at providing DJ training for women, trans and non-binary artists.
