  • Alessio Armeni, AKA techno DJ Freddy K, stars in a new feature film about boxing. "I am extremely proud to announce my appearance in Ghiaccio, a beautiful movie set in the suburbs of Rome in the '90s," Armeni wrote on Instagram. "It's been an honour to be asked to act as myself, Freddy K, during an important and still relevant chapter of my history: Virus in the '90s. A truly gripping story with an important direction and some of my favorite Italian actors. Thank you." Launched in 1993, Virus was a radio show hosted six days a week by Armeni. It played a pivotal role in shaping his career—within a year, he was signed to legendary Italian label ACV, which released his debut EP and album shortly after. Ghiaccio, which means "ice" in English, will premiere in Italy on February 7th, 8th and 9th. Watch the trailer.
