Residents Kiwi and Anthousai will be joined by a different guest each week, starting next month.
Queer party Crossbreed will run every Sunday at London venue Colour Factory, starting next month.
Launching on February 13th, the parties will run from 3 PM through midnight, with founder Kiwi and new resident Anthousai joined weekly by a different guest.
As part of the collaboration, Crossbreed and Colour Factory are tweaking the design and layout of the Hackney Wick venue. The changes include a new four-point Danley Audio soundsystem, new lighting, the creation of several jobs for the local queer community, a playroom and a wellness sanctuary.
All staff working on Sundays will be given full training in how to offer welfare support to the Crossbreed community. "We want to create a space that centres the queer people most marginalised in society," Crossbreed said. "A queer club that holds accountability, harm reduction, anti-racism and joy at the core of everything that we do."
Crossbreed's Feel Free scheme will continue with the launch of the weekly party, meaning low and no-income members of the community, prioritising trans and people of colour, can access free tickets via a mutual aid fund. Pay it forward.
