- Welcome To The Club: The Life And Lessons Of A Black Woman DJ will publish in 2023.
DJ Paulette has been working on her first book, Welcome To The Club: The Life And Lessons Of A Black Woman DJ.
Scheduled to publish in 2023 through Manchester University Press, the book details the Manchester DJ's 30-year career, simultaneously addressing the misogyny, racism and classism that continues to plague the electronic music industry.
Welcome To The Club also features contributions from fellow British DJs Gilles Peterson, Norman Jay, Jamz Supernova, Dave Haslam, Sonique, Smokin Jo and Jaguar. DJ Paulette intends to inspire vital discussions with the book, and ultimately foster a more inclusive dance music world.
