  • Inclusive collective HE.SHE.THEY. has launched an app and social network. Created by founders Steven Braines and Sophia Kearney, the HE.SHE.THEY. app is intended as a safe and inclusive space for dating, making friends and community building. They wanted to create a network that celebrates the positive aspects of social media while lessening the negatives. "Our community has always been about platforming and celebrating weird and wonderful humans," said Braines. "So we have a zero-tolerance policy on homophobia, transphobia, misogyny, disablism, body shaming and racism on the app." Anyone wanting to use the platform will have to validate their profile with a photo, which is then checked by humans rather than an algorithm. Should users come across any issues or hate speech, this can be reported to a human moderator, too. In time, the HE.SHE.THEY. platform and app will give users access to discounts and early releases on tickets, clothing and exclusive content, including full episodes of the new HE.SHE.THEY. podcast, which also launched today. The first few episodes feature guests like Eats Everything, Max The Tribrid and Amy Jandrisevits, who runs the charity A Doll Like Me. Register for the app here, and listen to the He.She.They. podcast with Jandrisevits.
