  • Dnipro venue Module is closing for good this weekend after five years. The community hub spanned a club and a concert venue, plus a record shop, two recording studios and a DJ school. It'll bid farewell with parties tonight, November 26th, and tomorrow, with slots for Symonenko, Peshka and many more. "About 90 percent of Ukrainian electronic scene representatives have performed at Module during the club's existence," cofounder Evgen Goncharov told Resident Advisor. "We held more than 600 events [and] more than 700 different artists from both Ukraine and other countries played on our stage." He added: "Unfortunately, the territory that we rented was purchased by a large developer so premises will be demolished to build something else. That's why we're forced to temporarily close Module. At the moment we're collecting all things, equipment and searching for a new placement for the whole ecosystem. We hope that it will be even bigger and surely better because we have a lot of experience now." For now, Goncharov and co. will continue to make music, support artists from the local community and work on their Dnipropop label, which launched last year. "Our community is not upset—temporary difficulties have brought it together even more," he said. "We are determined and we are confident that it will only get better."
