  • Swing Ting, the Manchester-based party, label and artist duo, is ending for good after 13 years. The crew revealed the news via social media earlier today, November 18th, writing that they "feel now is the right time to bid farewell." The final party will go down on Saturday, December 18th, with all label and production output to close in 2022. Taking place at Swing Ting's long-running home, SOUP (FKA Soup Kitchen), The Last Dance will be a residents-only affair, with slots for Fox, Thai Chi Rosè, Tarzsa, Meme Gold, Joey B, LZ and cofounders Platt and Samrai. Launched around 2009, Swing Ting threw its first parties at Soup Kitchen in 2011 before becoming a label in 2014, releasing music by the likes of Equiknoxx, Sharda & Shanique Marie and Fox. The crew's sound is a colourful blend of myriad styles, including grime, UK garage and dancehall. Revisit Angus Finlayson's Label Of The Month feature from 2016.
