  • UK techno artist and writer Roshan Chauhan has changed his artist name from R.O.S.H. to Works Of Intent. In the introduction to his latest essay, published earlier today, November 15th, Chauhan said the change is "one of the few examples in this industry of someone not changing their name out of realisation that the old one might be problematic. Instead, it is designed to better articulate the kind of output I want to focus on." The announcement is accompanied by a long-form piece about British colonialism and the impact it had on the South Asian diaspora. Read the essay. Last year, Chauhan published "A Letter To RA," accusing Resident Advisor and other dance music publications of whitewashing UK electronic music history.
