  • Pioneer DJ has revealed the XDJ-RX3, a new all-in-one DJ system offering features from its flasghip CDJs and DJ mixers in a package suitable for mobile performance and home use. The two-channel system includes a 10.1-inch touchscreen and improved processing speed, streamlining the browsing and track-loading process. Each channel holds eight performance pads per deck, which can be used to control a selection of eight Release Effects, such as vinyl brake, echo out, build up and ducking. The complete range of effects now matches the club-standard DJM-900NXS2, and each jog wheel has an LCD display for track information and player settings. The XDJ-RX3 supports a variety of inputs with stereo mini jack, a pair of line and phono inputs, and an additional line level auxiliary input on hand for connecting turntables, phones and various media devices. There are also three USB inputs facilitating back-to-back performance and smooth changeovers, plus two mic inputs for MCing and broadcasting contexts. The Performance mode of rekordbox comes free with the system. The XDJ-RX3 will retail for $1999 and ships in early December. Watch a walkthrough video.
