A new indoor festival is launching in Frankfurt.
Soft Planet will take place three times a year at Zoom Club, a new venue on the site of the legendary Cocoon Club, which closed in November 2012.
"We're starting Soft Planet because we want to see a change in the Rhine-Main scene," cofounder Pascal Mungioli told Resident Advisor. "It reflects a new programming and direction in a known surrounding, and seeks to combine mutual empowerment and respect in comprehensive, global-minded club experiences... All sets in the small room from 2 AM will be broadcast live as part of a cooperation with EOS Radio. The idea is inspired from past techno eras (1990-2014) when hr3 Clubnight broadcasted from nights at Dorian Gray and Omen."
The first edition will take place on January 21st, 2022. Spread across two floors, the lineup features live shows from Aurora Halal, DMX Krew, LYZZA and rRoxymore, plus back-to-backs from Shanti Celeste and Peach, and VTSS and LSDXOXO. Other highlights include Eris Drew, Joy Orbison and Helena Hauff.
The first Soft Planet Festival will run from 10 PM on Friday, January 21st, through 3 PM the following afternoon.
