Animal Collective have a new album arriving on February 4th, 2022.
Spanning nine tracks, Time Skiffs will be released on CD, double-LP and digitally via Domino, home to a good chunk of the group's discography. The LP, described as a collection of "love letters, distress signals, en-plein-air observations, and relaxation hymns," was recorded last year. Accompanying the news is an extensive US tour that kicks off in Richmond, Virginia in March 2022.
Time Skiffs is the first full-length release from the four-member band since 2016's Painting With, also out on Domino. The forthcoming LP follows a 16-track soundtrack made for the 2020 film Crestone, and last year's Bridge To Quiet EP.
