A collection of unreleased and classic Jacques Greene tracks arrives via LuckyMe next month.
ANTH01 spans ten compositions from the first decade of his career. These include "Another Girl" from 2011's EP of the same name, "The Look," the title track off his 2010 debut, and his collaborative single with Koreless, "Arrow." ANTH01 also features two unreleased tracks, including "I Won't," which has been previously performed live.
Due October 22nd, the compilation is described by the Montreal-based artist, whose real name is Philippe Aubin-Dionne, as "a form of anthology." In a statement, he described the process of revisiting old material as "equal parts challenging and fun."
ANTH01 is "a collection of songs meant to tell the first few chapters" of the Jacques Greene project, he continued. "From bedroom studios in the Mile End in Montreal at the start of the 2010s to now. Thank you for listening."
The LP follows 2020's Dawn Chorus Remixes, a 12-inch of remixes from the 2019 album Dawn Chorus. Earlier this year, Greene also remixed Lime's "Babe, We're Gonna Love Tonight." Read our review of that record.
