- On November 13th, Mad Professor, Jimi Tenor, Andrew Ashong and more will perform in tribute to the late artist.
London Jazz Festival is hosting an evening in tribute to the late percussionist and composer Tony Allen.
Taking place on November 13th at Royal Festival Hall, the evening has been curated by Blur's Damon Albarn, Ezra Collective's Femi Koleoso, Remi Kabaka and Booker-prize winning novelist Ben Okri.
Lineup highlights include Mad Professor, Jimi Tenor, Joe Armon-Jones, Lava La Rue, Andrew Ashong, Wayne Snow and Nitin Sawhney.
Considered one of the cofounders of Afrobeat and one of the greatest drummers ever, Allen passed away in April 2020. Check out the lineup and find out more about the event here.
