  • Bar Part Time is a new natural wine bar and nightclub located at 496 14th St in San Francisco's Mission District. BPT, run by founding partners Justin Dolezal, Jeremy Castillo and Dan Small, opened its doors early this month with a party featuring LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy, but the idea has been in the works since before the pandemic. Dolezal and Castillo formerly worked at a wine bar in Downtown San Francisco, the latter a DJ and producer involved the popular Club Lonely party. The trio hosted a natural wine-focused pop-up prior to the pandemic and then pivoted to wine delivery and a mix series post-lockdown. Thus far, B.P.T. Radio has featured mixes from the likes of Yu Su and Tornado Wallace. In addition to a curated selection of naural wines, Bar Part Time's new physical locations houses an intimate dance floor with a Danley soundsystem and an alpha recording system rotary mixer. DJs typically play on weekends, with Mozhgan, Cosmic Kids and beschloo booked in coming days. The venue's license currently allows for DJs to play up until 10 PM. "Our current tongue-in-cheek tagline is 'probably the best wine bar in the world,'" Castillo told RA. "But in actuality, it's probably the best happy hour in the world. The mirrorball is on at 6:30 PM and it's a packed dance floor but it's still fucking daylight out." For more on Bar Part Time check out the official site and the event listings below.
