Amelia Holt, Sepehr, Sonic Messengers, Mike Servito and Jenifa Mayanja will take over the audiophile haven this month.
The Sound Room, a performance and listening space for DJs and live acts at Brooklyn-based Public Records, is back in business with several free events this September.
Closed for more than a year, the Sound Room resumes public programming on Friday, September 17th, with resident Amelia Holt and Shaytoon Records head Sepehr. The following day will see Savile and AceMo play as Sonic Messengers, while Mike Servito, Dee Diggs, Jenifa Mayanja and Public Records co-founder Francis Harris have all been booked for the coming weeks.
In a statement announcing the news, Public Records disclosed the space was unofficially brought to life this past weekend as Virgil Abloh and AceMo took over the decks.
The Sound Room is equipped with a custom sound system designed by Devon Turnbull of OJAS and Jason Ojeda, formerly of VOID, in addition to a custom-built Isonoe rotary mixer. For information on events, check the listings below.
