  • Tim Hecker's original score of TV series The North Water is set for release. The score, which is being released by Lakeshore Records in the US and Invada Records elsewhere, is due out digitally on September 10th and on vinyl in January 2021. It's the first time a score by the Canadian sound artist has been made available commercially. Hecker has been releasing music since 2000, both under his own name and using the alias Jetone. While The North Water, a five-part drama series based on the Ian McGuire novel of the same name, is his first venture into scoring for a full TV series, he has contributed to over a dozen scores and soundtracks for short films and documentaries. Airing on British TV on September 10th, The North Water stars Colin Farrell, Stephen Graham and Jack O'Connell. It's been available in the US since mid-July. Listen to the first track, "Seasick."
