London club The Cause enters final months 'in its current format'

- A series of shows has been announced in the face of anticipated operational issues.
- London club The Cause has revealed what could be its final series of shows in its present form. With the team anticipating operational issues in the coming months due to the fast-paced development of the surrounding sites, The Cause has announced what may turn out to be its final few months of programming. It marks the latest chapter in a history chequered with council and licensing issues, with the Tottenham club having been shuttered temporarily due to planned property development in late 2019. "The writing really is on the wall for The Cause in its current format and we're absolutely gutted to see the club winding down," says cofounder Stuart Glen. "It really does feel like the odds are stacked against us with multi-story residential buildings rising up all around us and the challenges we undoubtedly will face by impending residents." Titled The Beginning Of The End, the series includes shows until late November, such as the four-day Boiler Room festival and this weekend's LOBSTERFEST. Other highlights include sets by Ben UFO, Anz, Move D, Paramida, Benji B, Call Super, Peach and Mathew Jonson. Later this month, Congo Natty and Iration Steppas will play Rumbellion Festival.
