- Arriving in 2022, it's accompanied by a UK tour this November.
Marc Almond and David Ball, AKA Soft Cell, are releasing a full-length of new material for the first time in two decades.
*Happiness Not Included arrives on February 25th, 2022 via BMG. It consists of twelve tracks that explore contemporary society as well as the idea of a utopia, Almond said in a statement. Rather than continue the duo's signature pop sound, the LP is more "minimal, melodic and bass-driven," Ball told the Daily Star in April. It marks the duo's fifth album and is accompanied by a UK tour this November.
The group first hinted of a new release in a Facebook post this April. Their last studio album of new music was 2002's Cruelty Without Beauty while their last new single was 2018's "Northern Lights."
