  • The five labels comprising Secretly Group, the Bloomington-based indepdendent-label conglomerate, are organising a series of markets around the eastern US from September 9th to 26th. The tour, dubbed Paved Paradise, consists of day-long events at outdoor parking lots across 15 cities. Ghostly International (which joined the Secretly family last year), Numero Group, Dead Oceans, Jagjaguwar and Secretly Canadian will be selling vinyl, cassettes, CDs, vintage goods and other merchandise from their respective catalogs. A high-fidelity listening station will be available to visitors while label representatives, such as Numero Group cofounders Ken Shipley and Rob Sevier, will be on-site to make recommendations and share stories behind the records. Artists from the five labels are also expected to DJ and perform live at each Paved Paradise gathering, but those details have yet to be announced. Described as "equal parts pop-up shop, block party and roadside fruit stand," Paved Paradise begins in Bloomington, Indiana and ends in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
